Collaroy

Alteration & Addition

Architect:  Micrah Design Services

Year Completed: 2011

Project overview: Set at the top of the northern beaches steepest street, this amazing residence has been transformed from a humble two storey brick residence into an ultra modern master piece.

The home in its original state was double brick to the lower level with part suspended concrete slab part timber joist that made up the ground floor.

Cantilevered slabs on the new ground floor form the ensuite , balcony and second bedroom, allowing the clients to maximize the incredible views this property displays.

Curved roofing and expansive glazing keep the property well lit and ventilated. All steel structures were hot dipped galvanised , and craned into place where they were put together like a big puzzle.

Natural stone laid on top of under floor heating keeps the house warm through out the winter months whilst giving the home a real earthy feel.

Beautiful veneers dress the kitchen and joinery units , whilst seamlessly concealing the bedroom and bathroom behind them.

This was an amazing project to be involved in which tested us in every aspect of building. We are extremely pleased with the end result and hope that you are just as impressed with it as we are.
