Alteration & Addition
Architect: Andrew Kovac
Year Completed: 2008
Project overview: A contemporary light filled addition has transformed this Californian bungalow into a bold statement that transports you from past to present. The design married the existing home to the new addition with a glazed link and timber deck that sat perfectly between the two structures.
Commercial grade windows and doors allowed for larger glazed surfaces that invited light to fill this pavilion, giving you a sense of space and grandeur. The single storey structure design called for vaulted ceilings and large open areas.
This resulted in 4.2m ceiling heights, which meant keeping the levels down to minimise overshadowing to neighboring properties was a priority.
Now complete, this landmark attracts all who pass by it, and has given the owners a space to enjoy and share with family and friends.

Client Testimonial
working with the team to be the best experience possible.
Throughout the building process we were consistently consulted on decisions effecting the
build and they worked hard to provide cost-effective solutions to our design challenges.
The time we needed to move out of the property was significantly reduced, even with the
large amounts of rain days we encountered over the build time.
Our house is fantastic, the quality of the work is beyond our expectations and the end
product is exactly what we wanted!
